KELLYVILLE, Okla. — Rees Moran is quickly establishing himself as someone you will have to deal with if you want to win a Ortco, Inc. United Sprint League presented by Same Day Auto Repair series event.

After winning the Hero 100 season opener two weeks ago, Moran took advantage of a late race restart Saturday at Creek County Speedway to take the lead and post his second straight victory on Autism Awareness Night.

Defending champion Johnny Kent led the opening lap of the main event giving way to Brock Cottrell on lap two. Meanwhile Moran, who started eighth, was working his way through the pack and roared into third on lap 11. On lap 18 Moran moved to second and closed on Cottrell. The yellow flag waved on lap 26 and that was the opportunity Moran needed. Moran wheeled his Bob Hurley RV number 22 sprinter into the lead and led the final five laps to the checkered. Cottrell held on to second followed by Kyle Clark, Joshua Tyre and Tim Kent.

Moran also earned the D&G Contracting Hard Charger award for advancing seven positions. Elizabeth Phillips won the Speed Stix Shocks first heat, Clark picked up $100 for winning the Kent Fireworks second heat, and veteran Danny Smith captured the Morton Excavating third heat.
