DAYTONA BEACH< FL -- Johnny Sauter hopes to prove you can go home again—and win.

Sources tell RacinBoys.com that Sauter will return to ThorSport Racing for the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. An announcement is expected early next week.

The 40-year-old Necedah, Wisc., native will once again pilot the No. 13 truck he drove from 2009 to 2012, four of his seven years with the Duke and Rhonda Thorson-owned team. Sauter, the 2016 series champion, finished fourth in the standings last year. He has qualified for the Championship 4 race in the Playoffs each season since the elimination format was introduced in 2016.

In 10 full seasons of the Truck Series has earned 23 wins, 102 top fives and 157 top 10s in 244 starts.

Sauter will be reunited with fellow truck champion Matt Crafton, as well as Grant Enfinger and Ben Rhodes, on ThorSport's full-time roster. Myatt Snider is expected to make a limited run with the team as well.
