. D. Green, an Air Traffic Controller by day and a race fan since watching his uncle compete in southern Missouri in the 60's, took the step to cross the fence from fan to competitor in 1988 when he purchased his first racecar. He and his wife Diana competed as drivers at Lakeside and I-70 Speedways through 1994. They became active in the Central Auto Racing Boosters in 1990 and have not stopped yet. J.D. has served the organization as Sergeant-at-Arms, Secretary, and most recently as President. (Diana served eight years as President of this organization and is the current Treasurer) When J.D. and Diana hung up their racing helmets they still wanted to stay involved and volunteered to become track officials. J. D. was promoted to Competition Director at Lakeside and I-70 Speedways after the Craftsmen Truck Race at I-70 Speedway in 1996, when then Competition Director Bill Altis left to become a Truck Official. J. D. and Diana Green have been very active serving the Kansas City Racing Community since
