If you are not attending the Chili Bowl or watching the Chili Bowl on pay per view and you want to get a taste of racing during the winter months then plan to attend the January C.A.R.B. Membership Meeting. The meeting will be held at the KCI Marriott Hotel on January 12, 2008 starting at 7:00 P.M.

All NASCAR events and most tracks start with an invocation. Several years back I asked Fast Track Ministries to say a prayer to start the driver's meetings; at Lakeside the pits do not hear the track announcer. What a blessing! A blessing putting everyone in the correct frame of mind. A blessing in providing a quiet time. When the prayer ends I hear more "Amens" come from the drivers than I ever hear at church. However, with global warming appearing to be a real threat some tracks have extended their seasons. Lakeside Speedway will be racing on Saturday evenings through the month of October.
