Sun is out, temps are up, it' time to go racing!

Posted by Kirk Elliott at 09:09:20 AM

Sun is shining and with high temperatures expected to be in the 60's, it's time to go racing.

I-70 Speedway will open it's 2007 asphalt season this afternoon (Sunday).   ASA Late Models, Super Trucks, Super Stocks, Dash Cars and Enduro will be in action.  Pit Gate will open at 11:00 am, Admission Gates will open at 1:00 pm with hot laps at 2:00 pm. Racing starts at 3:30.

At Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, it's the O'Reilly MLRA/MARS Shootout.  A-Mods, B-Mods, and Factory Stocks will also be on the card for the Sunday afternoon show.

Pit Gates will open at 10:00am, Front Gates will be open at 12:00 noon, and Hot laps will begin at 1:00pm with racing to follow.

The ASCS Midwest/Northern Plains Region Series will wrap up a two-night weekend of racing at I-80 Speedway.  Action gets underway at 6:00 p.m.

Adams County Speedway in Corning will host a practice this afternoon, leading up to the rescheduled opening night April 21.

Unfortunately, too much racin forced the Bob Ramey Memorial at State Fair Speedway in Sedalia to be postponed.  A make-up date has yet to be set.
