Thanks

Well it's been too long since I wrote anything so I figured it was about time to do another one.

As most everyone knows we ran the Missouri State Fair Championships at State Fair Speedway in Sedalia last Sunday - or at least we tried to.

We watched the radar all day long and it really looked iffy, but honestly it didn't do anything at the track so we said let's go for it.  Anybody who was in the stands knows what happened with the first of three features on track.  We really hated to see this happen, but not for the reasons most people would think.  It had nothing to do with money, but the fans and drivers.  The people in the stands came to see a race and the drivers came to put one on.  Heck, we're all fans and with the way the heat races played out the features were set to be great.

Believe me that if there was any way that we could have finished that race we would have done it.  I talked to the track prep guys and with the water standing on the frontstretch there just wasn't anything that they could have done.  I walked out on the track in turn 1 and slid from the top to the bottom due to the moisture and just how slick it made it.  With this being a fair event there also wasn't the option of coming back and doing it again.   I wish we could have, but it just wasn't there.

We were happy with the turnout of drivers and fans even with the weather looking like it was.  I want to personally thank everybody who made it that evening and believe me we'll be back to try it again next year.  I've already started looking at things for 2008 and hopefully we can just keep expanding on the show and making it better.

I really need to thank a lot of people that are a big help to make this show even happen.

Eddie and Shana DeJaynes put a lot of faith in us to put on this show and I appreciate all of their support.  If you ever bump into them tell them thanks for the show.

The O'Reilly MLRA and O'Reilly WOW are great to have in and we thank them and look forward to the future with both series.

Modified drivers and crews come out in force for this show and we appreciate everything that they do.

We're only able to get the track crew together once a year and they do a great job.  I wouldn't want to do a race without the great crew that we've been able to put together.

Once again thanks to everyone who made it this year.  I wish we could have finished the show, but mother nature had other plans and there wasn't anything we could do about that.
