Great time of year

You know maybe I'm crazy, but I really do kind of like this time of year.  Now don't get me wrong - I'm like the rest of you and having some serious withdrawals from racing, but there are things that make this a great time of year.

It's this time of year that all of the tracks and series are getting their schedules out for the year.  It's always neat to see what each of them are doing different than they have in the past.  Whether it be a visiting a new track or changing around the class lineups it always generates some excitement, aprehension, or whatever else you want to call it.  The tracks and series probably work harder over the winter to secure sponsors and set up schedules so it's always nice to see what they have been able to come up with.

Another thing that makes this a neat time of year is the drivers and their cars.  Some have the same car, but with a different paint scheme while others have completely new rides.  It's always great to see what they have come up with for the new season.  This is one thing that always generates a lot of discussion among race fans who voice their likes and dislikes.

It's also that time again for the Chili Bowl.  I haven't made it down there yet, but one of these years I will.  Thanks to the RacinBoys and their broadcast everybody can keep up on what is going on.  Then getting to see the great shots that MRR comes up with is always neat as well.

Like I said, it always make this time of year kind of neat to me.  Only about 3 months until things kick off in the area and it will be here before you know it.
