I sit here and look at this and honestly I've got two different feelings about all of this. First off I'm glad to see weekly racing back. Grew up at the fairgrounds and it just isn't the same without a weekly show. I really think that of all the people that could take this on that Jason and Reid are the right two people and will completely back them. I've talked to a lot of drivers while doing the fair races and always got asked why I didn't open the place back up myself. Believe me that I would have done it in a heartbeat. Reid and Jason have the funding to make this thing work and really think that with a lot of hard work that they can do it.

After thinking about it for several days there was also something else that came to my mind. We ran the fair races for the last five years and busted our tails to make it work for the fans and drivers. When we took over there were a lot of problems from the past that we had to deal with. I feel like we have worked as hard as we could to try and bring things back to where it should be and that we have gotten it to that point. My thing is that I don't want to see it go back to the problems and continued drama that it was before and I really don't feel that it will with Reid and Jason in charge of things. I really think they will run with what they have and work to improve on where we got it back to. And when I say "we" I mean everyone that ever helped us out each year - from track employees to racers.

Will this work? Nobody can be sure of what the future holds, but I think they have a fighting chance. Every year I've heard, from drivers and fans, that they would come if the place ever opened back up - well here is your chance and I'm glad that I could see it happen. Talked to Jason last night for a few minutes and it was funny how after a short conversation he got me excited about it all.

On old Sportsman camaros at Capital Speedway we ran as agressive as possible with the pinion angle on leaf springs. this is a proven winning tactic that goes back to the days of old stock type late models.

No 90/10 shocks or pull bars in those days but on the early mods that ran leaf springs guys did run pull bars on the rear ends. Don't know if it was a huge advantage but sometimes, especially on traction limited cars, every little bit helps.

please explain why the last 4 or 5 promoters couldnt make it go with one premier and one or two support classes? why is this any different?
