Jones shines at Oval Nationals(Perris, CA) Levi Jones of Avon, Ind. took a giant step toward his third USAC National Sprint Car championship Friday night, winning a thrilling 25-lap preliminary feature in the 14th “Budweiser Oval Nationals” at the Perris Auto Speedway. USAC Sprints kick off 2010 at East Bay(Indianapolis, IN) The 2010 USAC National racing season will start in the Sunshine State with the announcement today of the February 8-9-10 non-wing 410-c.i. USAC National Sprint Car races at East Bay Raceway Park near Tampa, Fla. It’s part of East Bay’s big six-night February slate which also includes the All Star Sprint Car Series, which competes at the track February 11-12-13.

Darland tames Winchester Speedway(Winchester, IN) Dave Darland of Lincoln, Ind. won Sunday’s 40-lap “Winchester Oldtimers Weekend” USAC National Sprint race at the Winchester Speedway, beating series point leader Levi Jones to the checkered flag. Jones led the first 18 laps and Darland led the final 22 in his Rotondo Weirich/Benic Enterprises Maxim/Gaerte Chevy.
Gardner pockets big check at Lawrenceburg Fall Nationals(Lawrenceburg, IN) Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif. earned a paycheck for $10,000 Friday night at the Lawrenceburg Speedway, leading the final nine laps to win the 30-lap “Fall Nationals” USAC National Sprint race at the 3.8-mile dirt oval.
