Stanbrough wins Pacific Coast Nationals(Tulare, CA) Jon Stanbrough, Avon, Ind., led all 40-lap of the 30th ”Pacific Coast Open” Sunday night’s at the Thunderbowl Raceway, taking home the $12,500 winner’s prize in his Indiana Underground Construction No. 37x Maxim. Chad Boat, Phoenix, Ariz., stayed close to Stanbrough throughout the race in his Billy Boat Performance Exhaust No. 30 Maxim, but eventually had to settle for a second-place finish.
Hansen wires Pacific Coast Nationals prelim(Tulare, CA) USAC Western Midget point leader Garrett Hansen of Manhattan Beach, Calif. led all 30 laps to win Saturday night’s ‘Pacific Coast Nationals” opener at Thunderbowl Raceway. The two-night USAC National and Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car program concludes Sunday night with another 30-lapper at the third-mile dirt oval.
Santos soars at Copper World(Avondale, AZ) Bobby Santos III of Franklin, Mass. emerged the winner of Thursday night’s 25-mile USAC National/Western Midget race at the 34th “Copper World Classic” at Phoenix International Raceway. Whitt scores first pavement win at Copper World(Avondale, AZ) Cole Whitt of Alpine, Calif. led the final 83 laps to win Thursday’s 100-mile USAC K & N Silver Crown Championship race at the 34th “Copper World Classic” at Phoenix International Raceway.
Kuhn leads USAC National Midgets into Copper World(Avondale, AZ) Brad Kuhn of Avon, Ind. and Garrett Hansen of Manhattan Beach, Calif. lead their respective USAC racing series entering Thursday’s 34th “Copper World Classic” at Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway. Kuhn has a 14-point lead over Brad Sweet of Alpine, Calif. in the Mopar National Midget Series and Hansen is 89 points ahead of Alex Schutte of Redding, Calif. in the Western Midget series.
Gardner wins Oval Nationals(Perris, CA) Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif. caught Mike Spencer on lap 37 and led the final four laps to win Saturday night’s 14th :”Budweiser Oval Nationals” 40-lap feature at Perris Auto Speedway, claiming the $12,500 winner’s prize in his Pace Lighting Eagle/Shaver. Jones shines at Oval Nationals(Perris, CA) Levi Jones of Avon, Ind. took a giant step toward his third USAC National Sprint Car championship Friday night, winning a thrilling 25-lap preliminary feature in the 14th “Budweiser Oval Nationals” at the Perris Auto Speedway. Clauson tops Oval Nationals opener(Perris, CA) Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, Ind. led all 25 laps to win Thursday night’s 14th “Budweiser Oval Nationals” preliminary feature at the Perris Auto Speedway. He piloted the Parker Stone Company/Gaerte Engines Maxim to his ninth victory in USAC competition this season.
Spencer looks to extend USAC/CRA streak at Oval Nationals(Perris, CA) The 2009 Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series doesn’t conclude until November 28, but the next two weekends will be pivotal in the battle for the championship
Wilke-Pak guns for record 134th win at 'Copper World Classic'(Phoenix, AZ) Wilke-Pak Racers of Milwaukee, Wisc. will seek an historic record 134th USAC National feature victory November 12 when the USAC Mopar National Midget Series takes to the Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway for the 34th “Copper World Classic.”
