Hines, of New Castle, Ind., earned his first USAC feature victory since recovering from severe leg injuries in an motorcycle accident in early 2007, taking the checkered flag in the “Don Branson/Jud Larson Pole Night Sprints” USAC National Sprint race at the Eldora Speedway.

Cottle thrills Gas City(Gas City, IN) Shane Cottle of Kokomo, Ind. kicked off the 2008 USAC National Sprint Car season with a thrilling victory in Friday night's 30-lap race at the Gas City I-69 Speedway. Driving the Contos Racing Chalk/Frampton, Cottle took the lead from Brad Sweet on lap 18 and led the rest of the way to beat Dustin Morgan, Sweet, Levi Jones and Dave Darland, who came from the last row to take fifth. Rodriguez claims USAC/CRA prize at Perris(Perris, CA) Johnny Rodriguez grabbed the lead from Garrett Hansen with five laps remaining to win the USAC/CRA feature Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway. Cory Kruseman finished second, followed b y R.J. Johnson, Tony Jones, and Blake Miller.
Swanson scores USAC Midget victory in North Carolina(Kenly, NC) Kody Swanson led all 40 laps enroute to the Mopar USAC National Midget Series win Saturday night at Southern National Speedway. Dakota Armstrong was second as Cole Whitt, Darren Hagen, and Tracy Hines completed the top-five.
East claims USAC Midget prize(Anderson, IN) Bobby East of Brownsburg, Ind. recorded his 28th USAC Mopar National feature victory Sunday afternoon, winning the 50-lap Mopar National Midget race at the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway. The win was his 14th in the National Midget series.
