Anderson wins at Nevada as Purkey clinches sixth MLRA crown(Nevada, MO) Omaha, Nebraska's John Anderson scored the O'Reilly MLRA win in the Season Finale on Sunday evening at the Nevada Speedway but Coffeyville, Kansas' Al Purkey finished second allowing him to claim his Sixth MLRA Championship. MLRA finale postponed until Sunday(Nevada, MO) The O'Reilly MLRA event scheduled for Saturday October 17th has been postponed until Sunday October 18th due to the persistent damp and cool weather. "This rain has just been tough this week but Sunday's forecast calls for warmer temperatures and sunshine so it should be a great day to settle the MLRA Championship" stated MLRA PR Director Dan Robinson.

Kaiser claims 2009 ULMA championship(Warrensburg, MO) In three years of existence, the battle for the United Late Model Association (ULMA) title had never been as close as it was heading into the final week of points earning for the 2009 season. Two drivers were still in the hunt for the crown with two events remaining; however, when all was said and done Kevin Kaiser, an independent racer from Cole Camp, Missouri, edged out Jeff Schlup of California, Missouri and became the third different ULMA champion in as many years. Boen turns back Berck at I-80 Speedway(Greenwood, NE) Henderson, Colorado's Kelly Boen continued his assault on the 2009 racing season by winning the Cornhusker Classic at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on Saturday night.
