Anderson wins at Nevada as Purkey clinches sixth MLRA crown(Nevada, MO) Omaha, Nebraska's John Anderson scored the O'Reilly MLRA win in the Season Finale on Sunday evening at the Nevada Speedway but Coffeyville, Kansas' Al Purkey finished second allowing him to claim his Sixth MLRA Championship. MLRA finale postponed until Sunday(Nevada, MO) The O'Reilly MLRA event scheduled for Saturday October 17th has been postponed until Sunday October 18th due to the persistent damp and cool weather. "This rain has just been tough this week but Sunday's forecast calls for warmer temperatures and sunshine so it should be a great day to settle the MLRA Championship" stated MLRA PR Director Dan Robinson.

Kaiser claims 2009 ULMA championship(Warrensburg, MO) In three years of existence, the battle for the United Late Model Association (ULMA) title had never been as close as it was heading into the final week of points earning for the 2009 season. Two drivers were still in the hunt for the crown with two events remaining; however, when all was said and done Kevin Kaiser, an independent racer from Cole Camp, Missouri, edged out Jeff Schlup of California, Missouri and became the third different ULMA champion in as many years. Boen turns back Berck at I-80 Speedway(Greenwood, NE) Henderson, Colorado's Kelly Boen continued his assault on the 2009 racing season by winning the Cornhusker Classic at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on Saturday night. Cornhusker Classic(Buckner, MO) The O'Reilly MLRA Presented by Lucas Oil Products charges back to action this Saturday, September 26th with the Annual Cornhusker Classic at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska. This will be a co-sanctioned event with the MLRA and the NCRA, as the region's top Dirt Late Model Drivers battle for the $3,000 winner's share of the main event.
Payne tops O'Reilly MLRA at Heartland Park Topeka(Topeka, KS) Jeremy Payne battled wheel to wheel with Car Owner Terry Phillips before ultimately taking the lead with ten laps to go and leading the rest of the way to take the O'Reilly MLRA win at HPT.com Speedway at Heartland Park Topeka. MLRA visits Heartland Park Topeka this Saturday(Buckner, MO) The O'Reilly MLRA Presented by Lucas Oil Products makes their first visit of 2009 to the Sunflower State this Saturday night, September 5th as the MLRA Super Late Models travel to the Dirt Track at Heartland Park Topeka just outside of Topeka, Kansas. This will be the sole appearance of the season for the MLRA at Heartland Park Topeka as the drivers battle for the $3,000 to win top prize.
