MARS opens next weekend (Springfield, MO) The popular Southwest Missouri based MARS DIRTcar Series will begin its 11th season on March 12th and March 13th at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville TN for the Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic. Friday nights feature will pay $3,000 to the winner and Saturday night’s winner will receive $5,000 for their efforts.
Merrill wins MARS 'Spooker II' (Pocola, OK) Raymond Merrill made a triumphant return to the late model ranks Saturday night, capturing the non-points MARS "Spooker II" at Tri-State Speedway. Merrill, driving a Wendell Wallace car, made his only series start of the year and drew the outside pole for the $2,000-to-win event. MARS closes 2009 at Springfield and Monett(Paducah, KY) The O'Reilly MARS hits Springfield, MO for their second and final visit of the 2009 season on Saturday September 19th for the Larry Phillips Memorial race paying $3,000 to win and $400 to start. Vaught sets sail at I-55 Raceway(Pevely, MO) Will Vaught led from the pole and drove to victory in O'Reilly MARS and UMP Late Mode action Saturday night at I-55 Raceway. Feger completes MARS weekend sweep at Lake Ozark Speedway(Eldon, MO) Jason Feger completed a weekend sweep of O'Reilly MARS Late Models, scoring the feature win Saturday night at Lake Ozark Speedway. Feger sails to MARS victory at Tri-City Speedway(Pontoon Beach, IL) Jason Feger outran Jeremy Payne and Terry Phillips to win the O'Reilly MARS Late Model main event at Tri-City Speedway on Friday night. Bill Drake and Tony Jackson Jr. rounded out the top-five. The series moves to Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo. on Saturday night.

Terry Phillips was second with his teammate Jeremy Payne finishing third. Friday night's winner Bill Frye and Brandon McCormick rounded out the top-five.
