Anderson flies checkers at Springfield(Springfield, MO) John Anderson of Omaha, NE won the 4th annual Home Pro Larry Phillips Memorial at Springfield Raceway and picked up $3,000 for his efforts. Pole sitter R.C. Whitwell of Tucson, AZ finished second. B Feature winner Jeremy Payne of Springfield, MO finished third and was the night’s hard charger. Al Purkey of Coffeyville, KS and Tony Jackson Jr. rounded out the top five.

MARS rumbles into Thunderfest(Republic, MO) The MARS DIRTcar Series will be back in action this weekend with a pair of events at the historic half mile at the Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, OK September 22 – 24, 2011. The event is being hailed as THUNDERFEST, the biggest super late model race in the state of Oklahoma in years where a possible $6,000 awaits the winner.

Wallace wins 40th Annual 4-State Dirt Track Championship(Monett, MO) Wendell Wallace of Batesville, AR raced his way to victory Sunday evening at the Monett Speedway in Monett, MO for the 40th Annual 4-State Dirt Track Championships with the MARS DIRTcar Series. Wallace scored his second win of the 2011 season and his 28th career win with MARS. Wallace earned $4,000 for his efforts.

Babb repeats in MARS DIRTcar Series at Paducah(Paducah, KY) Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, IL double dips in the MARS VS UMP Tri-state Trifecta by claiming night two and the title of USA World 50 Champion at the Paducah International Raceway. Babb would take advantage of a poor restart by race long leader Brian Shirley of Chatam, IL on lap 28 and was able to stay out front and take another $5,000 for his efforts. Babb was also the feature winner last night at Highland Speedway in Highland, IL.
Babb triumphs at Highland(Highland, IL) Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, IL takes night one of the Tri-State Trifecta at Highland Speedway Thursday night. Babb led every lap from his outside pole starting position and earned $5,000 for his efforts. Babb also picked up his second career win with the MARS series.
MARS trifecta weekend includes Highland, Paducah, I-55(Republic, MO) The MARS DIRTcar Series and the top drivers from the UMP DIRTcar Series will go head to head for a $15,000 Tri-State Trifecta that will include Highland Speedway in Highland, IL; Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, KY and I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO. Each race will pay $5,000 to win and $400 to start.
