Davis opens ASCS Canyon Region title defense this Saturday(Tulsa, OK) Buckeye, Arizona’s Charles Davis, Jr., delivered car owner Jim Massey his first series championship by capturing the 2009 Discount Tire Co. ASCS Canyon Region title. Davis begins the defense of that title this Saturday night when the ASCS Canyon Region launches the 2010 season atop USA Raceway’s 3/8-mile clay oval in Tucson, AZ.

ASCS Gulf South fires off this weekend(Tulsa, OK) The American Sprint Car Series Gulf South Region kicks off its ninth year of competition with a pair of $3,000-to-win events this weekend in southeast Texas.
On Friday night, the series fires to 2010 life at Beaumont’s Golden Triangle Raceway Park with the Prelude to the Gulf Coast Nationals. Then, on Saturday night, it’s on to Highlands’ Battleground Speedway for the Third Annual Gulf Coast Nationals. PHOTO CREDIT: ASCS
ASCS Patriot schedule finalized(Tulsa, OK) Coming off a banner 2009 season, the ASCS Patriots 2010 schedule has been finalized with a record number of enhanced purses to reward racers and fans alike. The eighth season of competition for the Northeast Sprint series will feature 31 sanctioned events, including stops at 16 premier facilities from April through October. This will also be the second year with the “Five Crown Tour” featured to reward localized competitors.

Hockett opens new season in Florida(Tampa, FL) “The Rocket” Jesse Hockett launches tonight in defense of his crown at the Ronald Laney Memorial “King of the 360’s”. The Warsaw, Missouri sensation is coming off a season in which he posted 22 victories, tops in all of sprint car racing. In addition, he was the only sprint car driver voted into both the 360 and Non-wing National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum’s top 25 polls.
