Kansas Speedway employee honored (Kansas City, KS) Kansas Speedway’s manager of special events, Lisa Joyce, has been recognized by the Wyandotte County Convention and Visitors Bureau as someone who exemplifies excellent professional service in an extraordinary way. Joyce, who manages over 200 non-race weekend events at Kansas Speedway each year, was given the Excellence in Hospitality Award.

Hildebrand wins Indy Lights race at Kansas Speedway(Kansas City, KS) Californian J.R. Hildebrand earned his first victory in Firestone Indy Lights competition, leading 47 of 67 laps in the Kansas Lottery 100. Robbie Pecorari was second and Arie Luyendyk Jr. finished third.
Hornaday rules Kansas Speedway(Kansas City, KS) Ron Hornaday Jr. won the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 in overpowering fashion Saturday at Kansas Speedway,starting from pole and leading 136 of 167 laps.

Dixon snares pole at Kansas Speedway(Kansas City, KS) Scott Dixon, who won the season-opening race at Homestead, has secured the pole for Sunday's Roadrunner Turbo Indy 300 at Kansas Speedway. Dixon outperformed Target Chip Ganassi teammate Dan Wheldon by turning the mile-and-a-half at an average speed of 213.956 miles per hour. Danica Patrick starts third. Cancer screenings this Saturday at Kansas Speedway(Kansas City, MO) Kansas Speedway and the University of Kansas Hospital announced today that they are partnering to offer free head, neck and oral cancer screenings on Saturday, April 26 as part of Kansas Speedway’s race weekend. Screenings will be offered starting at Noon on Saturday outside Gate B and each screening will only take about 15 minutes.
