Four Lakeside Factory Stocks DQ'd following May 9 feature(Kansas City, KS) After the completion of the Factory stock feature event on Friday May 9, 2008 the Top 5 in the feature event along with the Top 5 in points were pulled into the tech area. This amounted to nine cars. Tech involved removing a head and the intake manifold to check for bore, stroke, no porting, and correct valve size as written in the Lakeside Speedway rule book. Five cars passed successfully. Four cars, the 66T, the 6, the 56, and the 17S were disqualified for various rule infractions.
Claxton returns to Lakeside winner's circle(Kansas City, KS) Gene Claxton outran Chad Lyle to win the Modified feature at Lakeside Speedway on Friday might. Nic Bidinger captured his third Grand National victory of the season, while Marshall Jewett took top honors in the Factory Stock division.

Many fans and competitors were scared off by the rain Wednesday afternoon. With several racers in the area for the Lucas Oil SuperClean Diamond Nationals, it could have been a large car count. Homecoming(Kansas City, MO) NASCAR Sprint Cup star Clint Bowyer will be making his first homecoming of the year at Lakeside Speedway this Wednesday, May 7th for the McCarthy Auto Group M.L.R.A. Super Late Model Mid-week Special. Bowyer, who won his first Lakeside track championship in 2002 (also named 2002 NASCAR Regional Midwest Champion) now owns his own dirt Late Model team. Bowyer returns to Lakeside May 7(Buckner, MO) As unseasonably cool and rainy weather created havoc for racing schedules in the month of April, the O'Reilly MLRA presented by Lucas Oil looks to get back on track in May. The first stop of the month will take place on Wednesday night, May 7th at the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas for a $3,000 to win show.

For the second straight week, Mother Nature has foiled the plans of track owner, Marc Olson. This past Friday night, another series of rain storms formed the postponement of yet another Friday night race. It didn't matter, because Marc Olson used his new rainout policy once again. Thirty Factory Stocks, 20 Grand Nationals and 47 Modifieds checked in to do battle on this day.
Lakeside Speedway races postponed until Sunday, April 27(Kansas City, KS) The raraces scheduled for Lakeside Speedway, tonight April 25th, have been postponed until this Sunday, April 27th. Week long rains have left the track in unraceable condition. Gates will open at 2, hot laps 4:00 and the first race at 4:30 this Sunday.
Lyle triumphs at Lakeside(Kansas City, KS) Chad Lyle took advantage of a lap 11 restart to overhaul Kerry Davis for the lead, then powered on to a convincing opening night victory Sunday at Lakeside Speedway.
