Brown gets first IMCA Modified win at Thunder Hill(Mayetta, KS) Thunder Hill Speedway closed out August on a hot, dry, and dusty night. As it turned out, two drivers lost wins in technical inspection, the biggest Stock Car field of the year took to the track, and Scott Brown was able to claim his first IMCA Modified victory of 2010. Joining Brown in Victory Lane were Mike Nichols (IMCA Stock Cars), Devin Stock (IMCA Northern SportMods), and Brian Stich (IMCA Hobby Stocks).

Charles triumphs at Thunder Hill Speedway(Mayetta, KS) The August heat wave wasn’t scheduled to break until Sunday, after the races, which left a hot and fast night of racing at Thunder Hill Speedway on Saturday, August 14. When the night was over, veteran Tom Charles had returned to Victory Lane in the IMCA Modified feature. He was joined by Kyle Olberding (IMCA Northern SportMods), Eric Weyer (IMCA Stock Cars), and G.W. Fuller (IMCA Hobby Stocks).
Becker posts IMCA Modified win at Thunder Hill Speedway(Mayetta, KS) As the dog days of summer kick in, Thunder Hill held their Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, August 7. While the fans were appreciated, some drivers appreciated the evening even more. Justin Becker broke through for his first IMCA Modified win of the year, while Brandon Mitchell took a well deserved first career Northern SportMod win. Leif Weyer brought home the checkers in the IMCA Stock Car class, and Waylon Banks kept his recent run going in the IMCA Hobby Stock class.

Herbers wins Oren Covert Memorial at Thunder Hill(Mayetta, KS) Jeff Herbers has very quietly put together a strong season in the IMCA Modified action at Thunder Hill Speedway. “Quietly” because Herbers has been a regular visitor to the top five, but had not cracked Victory Lane until Saturday, July 17, at the Oren Covert Memorial.
Oren Covert Memorial this Saturday at Thunder Hill(Silver Lake, KS) Over the years everyone, eventually, loses someone that they are close to. More than 5 years ago, the local racing community lost a beloved member, Oren Covert. Saturday night, July 17, Thunder Hill Speedway will revive the memory of this man with the running of the 'Oren Covert Memorial.'

Charles prevails at Thunder Hill(Mayetta, KS) After being plagued by rain for several weeks, the key word to Thunder Hill’s Saturday nights has been “hot.” This week, promoter Mike Conkwright adjusted the start times back 30 minutes to help beat the heat, but for Tom Charles, Travis Runcie, Mike Nichols, and Brian Stich, it was still a very hot night, as all four found victory lane.
