Thunder Hill honors 2011 champions
(Mayetta, KS) Thunder Hill Speedway honored its track champions and top finishers from the 2011 season. Some 300 attendees packed the Great Lakes Ballroom at the Prairie Band Casino and Resort, and after the buffet survived the onslaught of hungry racers and fans, the evening’s MC “Super” Dave Brenn took the microphone to pass out recognition.


Thunder Hill adds IMCA Sport Compacts, Raceivers for 2012
(Mayetta, KS) Two new things will be added to the weekly program for 2012 at Thunder Hill Speedway, promoter Mike Conkwright announced today. One addition is in the interest of making racing more accessible, one is in the interest of making racing safer.


Zoubek, Schoenberger, Chambers, Johnson headline night 2 of 'Thunder on the Hill'
(Mayetta, KS) Full pits, close competition, top IMCA drivers, and a smooth racetrack resulted in features that went down to the wire in nearly every class as Thunder Hill Speedway closed out its 2011 season with night 2 of the “Thunder on the Hill” IMCA special. Emerging as winners were Bob Zoubek (BSB Manufacturing IMCA Modifieds), Jeremy Chambers (Kansas National Guard IMCA Northern SportMods), Jason Schoenberger (Heinen Repair Service IMCA Stock Cars), and Brandon Johnson (BuyRaceParts.com IMCA Hobby Stocks).


Noteboom headlines night one at 'Thunder on the Hill'
(Mayetta, KS) On Night One of Thunder on the Hill, traveling drivers Jay Noteboom (BSB Manufacturing IMCA Modifieds) and Tyler Frye (Kansas National Guard IMCA Northern SportMods) took their respective features, while Kyle Vanover (Heinen Repair Service IMCA Stock Cars) and Brian Stich (BuyRaceParts.com IMCA Hobby Stocks) upheld home-track-driver honors in their features. 102 cars filled the pit area.


'Thunder on the Hill' set with Friday schedule changes
(Mayetta, KS) For Thunder Hill Speedway, the final days are counting down before “Thunder on the Hill,” the two-day racing extravaganza that is the traditional season-ender. With more than $30,000 up for grabs in four IMCA divisions, racers from around the Midwest are sending in pre-entries at a record pace. Sponsors, too, are stepping up to provide even more awards for the racers who will jam the Thunder Hill pits.


IMCA Modified features pay $1,750 at 'Thunder on the Hill'
(Mayetta, KS) A pair of $1,750 to win features for IMCA Modifieds headline the Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24 Thunder on the Hill special at Thunder Hill Speedway. A minimum of $125 will be paid to start and both events are qualifiers for the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.


Champs take three of four features as point season closes at Thunder Hill
(Mayetta, KS) If you’re a track champion, perhaps the thing that you most want to do is to win the feature on “Championship Night,” the last points night of the season. At Thunder Hill, three drivers managed to do just that while the fourth feature crowned a brand new winner.

MLRA headlines big night this Saturday at Thunder Hill

Thunder Hill and Missouri State Fair next for Lucas Oil MLRA
(Buckner, MO) This weekend will be another busy one for the Lucas Oil MLRA as the series has two stops planned. Saturday will be a makeup race from May at Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, KS. Sunday the series will close out the 2011 Missouri State Fair with the annual stop at the historic half mile speedway. Both shows will pay the winner $3,000.
