Jack Vaughn Memorial at Adrian moved to May 17(Buckner, MO) The O'Reilly MLRA presented by Lucas Oil has announced that the Jack Vaughn Memorial Race originally scheduled for May 3rd at the Adrian Speedway has been rescheduled for May 17th. "Out of consideration for the Vaughn family, who were unable to attend the race as originally scheduled, we felt it best to move this race to another date" stated MLRA Promoter Harriet Chancellor.
Adrian Speedway hosts Vern Claiborne Memorial June 7(Adrian, MO) The toughest little quarter mile dirt track in Missouri , Adrian Speedway, is getting ready to host the 5th Annual Vern Claiborne Memorial Top Gun Shootout for modifieds on June 7th. Thanks to alot of help from a lot of people this race has become very popular over the years. The 2007 race hosted drivers from seven states ranging from South Dakota to Texas.
Adrian Speedway opens April 12(Adrian, MO) Adrian Speedway opens the 2008 racing season on April 12, preceded by an open Test & Tune this Saturday. Full Late Models return in 2008 along with Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Hobby Stocks in competition every Saturday night. First special event will be Jack Vaughn Memorial for O'Reilly MLRA Late Models on May 3.
Al Bodenhamer Memorial to Phillips(Adrian, MO) Terry Phillips outran Al Purkey to win the Al Bodenhamer Memorial Thursday night at Adrian Speedway. The event was sanctioned by the O'Reilly MLRA. Denny Woodworth finished third ahead of Gary Stolba and David Turner.
Al Bodenhamer Memorial kicks off big Late Model weekend(Adrian, MO) The 2007 O'Reilly MLRA season will close out with a bang this coming weekend with three races in three nights to crown the champ. Action kicks off Thursday, September 27, at the bullring Adrian Speedway, in Adrian, MO with the annual Al Bodenhamer Memorial. This will be fourth time in five years that the event has drawn some of the best late model racers in the Midwest to the tight confines of Glen and Colleen Portzen's racy facility.
Roberts shines at Adrian, Al Bodenhamer Memorial coming Sept. 27(Adrian, MO) Darren Roberts of Archie, Mo. topped Modified feature Saturday night at Adrian Speedway. Matt Johnson settled for second as Josh Poe was third. Charley Reed was victorious in the Crate Late Model class along with Alex Crawford in Street Stocks and Brian Pipes in Hobby Stocks. Thursday night, September 27 will be the 5th annual Night of Stars Chaity Races and Al Bodenhamer Memorial. O'Reilly MLRA Late Models will be the featured attraction.
Bad weather at Adrian(Adrian, MO) Saturday brought cold temperatures and rain showers in and out thru out the day, causing the speedway to cancel the evenings events. Next week (Sat - Sept 22) will be the final Saturday night for regular races.
Scrogham posts Modified win at Adrian(Adrian, MO) Danny Scrogham captured the Modified feature at Adrian Speedway on Saturday night. Jerry Tarwater Jr. finished second. Jared Harris won the Crate Late Model main, while Will Johns and Gary Newport topped the Street Stock and Hobby Stock classes respectively.
Tarwater and Reed headline at Adrian(Adrian, MO) Jerry tarwater Jr. won the Modified feature event Saturday night at Adrian Speedway. Dennis Bunger was second and Edie Bray Jr. third. Charley Reed earned top honors in the Crate Motor Late Model class, while Robert Brown in Street Stock and Brian Pipes in Hobby Stocks were other winners.
