Daniels scores at Humboldt(Humboldt, KS) Dirt track racing fans throughout the area all seem to agree, when the O' Reily NCRA Modifed series comes to town, they bring some mighty fine talent from both Kansas and surrounding states. May 16th at Humboldt Speedway was no exception. And, it was a Humboldt driver who topped 'em all.
Simmons celebrates first win at Humboldt(Humboldt, KS) Zack Simmons had the Humboldt Speedway crowd on their feet Friday night with a spectacular "I can't bear to watch" high side pass that netted the youngest of the racing Simmons family his first B Mod feature win of the year.
Bone perfect at the 'Hummer'(Humboldt, KS) For the second time in as many weeks, Johnny Bone, Jr. bested the best that Humboldt Speedway has to offer in Modifieds. What transpired in feature action this week was truly a pleasure to see. Having each won a heat race, Whitey Folk had the pole, with Bone to his outside.
Kidwell and Bone among Humboldt winners(Humboldt, KS) Chanute, Ks. B-Mod ace Todd Kidwell turned up the heat on an otherwise cold and damp Friday night, winning his first feature of the '08 season. Kidwell converted a heat race win into pole position for the B-Mod feature, paired with defending points champ and (so far this season) undefeated Riley Whitworth on his outside. No racing this weekend at Humboldt(Humboldt, KS) Friday night's $1,000-to-win Modified Specai at Humboldt Speedway has been canceled due to a death in the family. Promoter Ron Whitworth's father passed away early Friday morning. Activities will resume next Friday, April 25.

Jess Folk headlines at Humboldt season opener(Humboldt, KS) The 2008 racing season at Humboldt Speedway officialy began March 29th. For Jess Folk, Jr., former Modified points champ at "The Hummer", it was more than the first night for points, it was the first step down the road to redemption.
