Wet weather draws curtain on Valley Speedway campaign(Grain Valley, MO) Valley Speedway officials have cancelled this Saturday's final Fall Series event due to persistent rainfall. With the 2009 season drawn to a close, attention now turns to the Valley Speedway Awards Banquet. Details about the event will be forthcoming in the next few days.
C.A.R.B. informed Valley Speedway will host own banquet(Kansas City, MO) The Central Auto Racing Boosters were informed, October 20, 2009, by Valley Speedway Owner Dennis Shrout via email, "I don't want there to be any confusion, Valley is planning on having their own banquet and doing our trophies at the Valley banquet. Valley is proud to be a C.A.R.B. track but want to give our drivers their own recognition at their own event. I have had several calls requesting us to do our own. I would encourage all drivers to support your groups efforts and receive their honors but I don't want to mislead anyone as to when we will honor our track champions with their trophies."
Valley Speedway Fall Series resumes October 24(Grain Valley, MO) Due to inclement weather conditions, this Saturday night's Fall Series program at Valley Speedway has been cancelled. Officials will give it another go on October 24 with A-Mods, B-Mods, Street Stocks, Dirt Demons, and Farm Trucks on the card. Hot laps get underway at 6:30 p.m.
Feeback repeats at Valley Speedway(Grain Valley, MO) Luke Feeback scored his second straight A-Modified win at Valley Speedway on Saturday night. Feeback held back Terry Schultz as Jimmy Dowell came in thrid. Also victorious were Tim Eaton in B-Mods, Dale Eaton in Street Stocks, Brian Wilcox in Farm Trucks, and Wade Sherman in Dirt Demons. Feeback tops Valley Speedway A-Mods(Grain Valley, MO) Luke Feeback scored his first A-Modified victory at Valley Speedway on Saturday night. Feeback held off Joshua Stephens and David McVey came home third. Other winners were Chris Martin In B-Mods, Jerry Schmidt in Street Stocks, Ashley Stevenson in Farm Trucks, and Lon Bradbury in Dirt Demons.
Mullins and Heavelow star at Weld Family Memorial Nationals(Grain Valley, MO) Non winged sprint car racing returned to Valley Speedway for the conclusion on the Inaugural Weld Family Memorial 305 Sprint Car Nationals Saturday evening. Potter and Billings score at Weld Family Nationals(Grain Valley, MO) Kenny Potter emerged victorious in the opening round of the inaugural Weld Family Nationals Friday night at Valley Speedway. Potter took advantage of leader Mitchell Moore's spin and resulting yellow flag. Cody Baker finished in the runner-up spot with Tanner Mullins, Moore, and Micheal Brown completing the top-five. Weld Family Nationals at Valley this weekend(Grain Valley, MO) The Inaugural Weld Family Memorial 305 Sprint Car Nationals will be this weekend this weekend at Valley Speedway. The event is named in honor of the family of racers who called Kansas City home. From the humble beginnings at Kansas City's Olympic Stadium to the pinnacle of all auto racing, the Indianapolis 500.
Setzer flies Valley Speedway checkers(Grain Valley, MO) Tim Setzer captured the A-Modified main event at Valley Speedway on Saturday night. Chad Staus finished second ahead of Nick Newton. W.O.W. sprints tonight at Valley Speedway(Grain Valley, MO) Hometown sprint car heroes anticipate a good showing at the O’Reilly Winged Outlaw Warriors visit to Valley Speedway on Patriots’ Day, Friday, Sept. 11. Grain Valley is home to several open wheel racers and most are expected to compete in the winged sprint car event. Brian Brown, Todd McVay, J.D. Black, and Chris Walker hope to have a strong showing in front of local fans.
