Anderson wins at Nevada as Purkey clinches sixth MLRA crown(Nevada, MO) Omaha, Nebraska's John Anderson scored the O'Reilly MLRA win in the Season Finale on Sunday evening at the Nevada Speedway but Coffeyville, Kansas' Al Purkey finished second allowing him to claim his Sixth MLRA Championship. MLRA finale postponed until Sunday(Nevada, MO) The O'Reilly MLRA event scheduled for Saturday October 17th has been postponed until Sunday October 18th due to the persistent damp and cool weather. "This rain has just been tough this week but Sunday's forecast calls for warmer temperatures and sunshine so it should be a great day to settle the MLRA Championship" stated MLRA PR Director Dan Robinson.

Asplin takes Show-Me Racin Series checkers at Nevada Speedway(Nevada, MO) The Race Brothers Show-Me Racin’ Series was back in racing action at Nevada Raceway after a weekend off. Twenty-seven late models signed in for their chance to come home with the thousand dollar grand prize. Some exciting racing action was sure to happen on the short ¼ mile track. Fans filled the grandstands to watch the Show-Me boys at their one and only stop at the Nevada Raceway.

Burrows tops MOLS main at Nevada(Nevada, MO) Brent Burrows won the Racing Experience Midwest Outlaw Lightning Sprint Car feature Saturday night at Nevada Speedway. This was the groups only visit to one of their favorite race tracks. The hot sun had won out over all the water that was put onto the track. The track was showing black midway thru the heat races, but it was a pretty smooth race track and good racing surface.
Bodenhamer tops O'Reilly MLRA at NevadaWith the City of Nevada holding their annual Bushwacker Days in town, Jason Bodenhamer did a little Bushwacking of his own to capture the O'Reilly MLRA Presented by Lucas Oil Products Feature win on Saturday night at the Nevada Speedway. Due to the large number of rain outs Monett Speedway has experienced early this season, they’ve agreed to host the series for a FRIDAY NIGHT race May 15. Gates will open at 5:00 with racing to get underway 7:30.

Simmons and Bolin star at Nevada Speedway(Nevada, MO) Jack Simmons captured the Late Model feature Saturday night at Nevada Speedway. Brian Bolin topped the Modified class over Andy Claiborne. Eddie Fox, Shawn Hendren and Josh McKay were also victorious.
