I-55 Late Models to Collins(Pevely, MO) On an unusually cold night in May, a great field of 120 racecars were on hand at I-55 Raceway to do battle on the high banked 1/3 mile dirt oval.
Faust and Bittle triumph at I-55 Raceway(Pevely, MO) A huge field of 132 racecars filled the pit area in I-55 Raceway's four divisions. Twenty-seven competitors entered the UMP DIRTcar Late Model division and it was Billy Faust of Lebanon, Illinois grabbing the win. After the pill draw for heat race starting spots, Faust found himself starting dead last in the first heat race.

Korte wins MARS/UMP Challenge at I-55(Pevely, MO) Thirty-four Mid-America Racing Series (MARS) and United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) DIRTcar Super Late Models rolled through the gates at I-55 Raceway for the MARS/UMP Clash which awarded $5,000 to the winner. It was Highland, Illinois' Randy Korte earning the top spot as he held of the challenges of Will Vaught and led all forty laps of the main event.
New paint scheme rides with Korte to I-55 win(Pevely, MO) Randy Korte of Highland, IL claimed the UMP DIRTcar Late Model main event at I-55 Raceway in his debut outing of the new paint scheme honoring his son's graduation from U.S. Army Basic Training. Korte took the lead on lap four from Belleville, IL's Jeff Johns. Johns took the lead using his outside front row starting position, but Korte, who started on the pole, soon moved past Johns and led the final twenty-one laps enroute to the victory.
I-55 Late Models to Korte(Pevely, MO) Hot temperatures led to some hot racing action at I-55 Raceway. Randy Korte of Highland, IL scorched the field in the UMP DIRTcar Late Model division. Korte led all twenty-five laps of the main event that was marred by a tremendous four car crash on lap two right in front of the flag stand on the front straight away.

Collins celebrates at I-55 Raceway(Pevely, MO) 55 Raceway dodged the rain showers again this week and 121 racecars packed the pit area. In the U.M.P. DIRTcar Late Model division, Bryan Collins dominated the last half of the event after early challenger Craig Smith tangled with a lapped car. Collins had pulled out to the lead early in the event, but Smith closed in as they worked lapped cars.
