Americans return from successful trip to South Africa(Atlanta, GA) The wheels of Delta flight 201 touched down around 6:45 a.m. this morning and the majority of the Americans who traveled to the ASA Transcontinental Series Free State 500 have returned to American soil. After clearing customs, they are now heading to their connecting flights for a safe trip home.
Mickel pulls off dramatic win in South Africa(Welkom, South Africa) -- The inaugural ASA Transcontinental Series Free State 500 was won in dramatic style at Phakisa Freeway near Welkom this afternoon by Briton John Mickel in an RS Capp Chev Monte Carlo. Mickel, who started the 207-lap 500-km race from fourth on the 24-car grid, took the lead three-quarters of the way around the final lap to win by less than half a second from American Toni McCray.

Iverson held off Jonathan Eilen for his third consecutive American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power win at his home track.
Reuvers takes ASA Midwest Tour at Shakopee(Shakopee, MN) Its a tight quarter-mile oval where the inside line is the preferred groove, but tonight Donny Reuvers used his home track advantage to go from sixth to the lead in the first eight laps to win the Shakopee 100 at Raceway Park.
