Wimmer bags first ASA Midwest Tour win of 2010(Marshfield, WI) The American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net had another new winner tonight at Marshfield Motor Speedway. Chris Wimmer took the early lead and held on for his first victory of 2010.
Schendel gets first ASA Midwest Tour win of 2010(Wisconsin Dells, WI) The American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net made their eighth stop of the season at Dells Raceway Park tonight. A track known for its nose-to-tail racing was home to a new winner for the 2010 season. Tim Schendel took home his first victory in 2010. His last victory was in 2008 at Marshfield Speedway, which the ASAMT heads to next weekend.
Sauter triumphs at Wisconsin International(Kaukauna, WI) Johnny Sauter beat Steve Carlson to the line for Tuesday night's ASA Midwest Tour Dixieland 150 at Wisconsin International Raceway. Chris Wimmer was third as Nick Murgic and Jacob Goede completed the top-five.
Matt Kenseth steals ASA Midwest win from Carlson(Oregon, WI) The American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net completed the fifth event of the season tonight at Madison International Speedway with the “Swiss Colony All-Star Challenge 100” featuring Matt Kenseth and Tony Stewart. Carlson wins Keith Fleck Miller 100 at Hawkeye Downs(Cedar Rapids, IA) The American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net made its third stop of the season at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, IA tonight for the 38th Annual Keith Fleck/Miller 100. Steve Carlson made history once again taking home his seventh and fourth consecutive Miller 100.
Ross Kenseth stands tall at Elko(Elko, MN) After getting rained out on Saturday, the American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net had a full day of racing today. Ross Kenseth, driver of the #25 Blain’s Farm & Fleet Ford Fusion took home the checkered flag for his first ever ASAMT victory.
Rain forces ASA Midwest Tour event at Elko to Sunday(Elko, MN) The ASA Midwest Tour event at Elko Speedway has been postponed until Sunday June 6th. Front gates open and practice begins at 11AM. Qualifying will begin at 12:30 and racing starts at 1PM. Weather looks great for Sunday. All tickets and pit passes from today are valid for tomorrow's show.
ASA Midwest Tour car count on the rise in 2010(Daytona Beach, FL) Their highest was 68 and their lowest was 28, but have averaged around 40 cars per event in the first three seasons. Short track promoter John McKarns passes away(Daytona Beach, FL) John McKarns, who created the popular ARTGO Challenge Series, passed away Tuesday afternoon following a long illness. He also was a major force in other pavement racing series, including the ASA, and played a big role in the Oktoberfest Race Weekend at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway.
