ASA heads overseas(Daytona Beach, FL) Typically when you visit your local track or a superspeedway, you will find a plethora of haulers in the pits carrying the precious cargo otherwise known as a stock car. For the American Speed Association Transcontinental Series, a hauler is going to be replaced with a 40 foot container containing two stock cars along with tires and tools on its way to Welkom, South Africa.
Sauter triumphs at La Crosse as Carlson celebrates ASA Midwest championship(West Salem, WI) Travis Sauter finally did something that his grandfather, father, and uncle hoped to do, that is win the Oktoberfest championship. He accomplished that goal today as he won the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment’s Oktoberfest 100 at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, WI.
Fredrickson takes ASA Midwest Region prize at Elko(Elko, MN) It was a night of great racing and many story lines at Elko Speedway. Dan Fredrickson finally returns to victory lane in the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment, Steve Holzhausen wins the Race for the Gold Championship and there will be a battle for the championship at the season finale. Iverson snares ASA Midwest Tour prize in Michigan(Norway, MI) A large and enthusiastic crowd cheered as loud as they could when Jamie Iverson stepped out of his super late model after winning the Labor Day 100 at the Norway Speedway, an ASA Member Track. Iverson held off Jonathan Eilen for his third consecutive American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power win at his home track.
Reuvers takes ASA Midwest Tour at Shakopee(Shakopee, MN) Its a tight quarter-mile oval where the inside line is the preferred groove, but tonight Donny Reuvers used his home track advantage to go from sixth to the lead in the first eight laps to win the Shakopee 100 at Raceway Park. Carlson wins another Dixieland 150(Buchanan, WI) A great crowd was on hand to watch Steve Carlson add another historic win to his already impressive racing resume as he won his seventh Dixieland 150 presented by Gandrud Chevrolet at Wisconsin International Raceway tonight. Kreyer rules ASA Midwest Tour at Wisconsin Dell(Wisconsin Dells, WI) Frank Kreyer has ran many laps around Dells Raceway Park, an ASA Member Track, and tonight he picks up the biggest win in his career as he wins the Race for the Gold - Silver Race. Kreyer held off a late charge from Steve Holzhausen for his first win with Mark Eswein in third.
Carlson earns sixth Keith Fleck Miller 100 trophy(Cedar Rapids, IA) Steve Carlson captured his sixth, third in a row, Keith Fleck Miller 100 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, IA. It is also his third American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment series win of the season holding off a star studed field of Midwest drivers including the current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points leader.
Goede keeps Kraus at bay in ASA Midwest Tour (Schererville, IN) Jacob Goede was more than ready for a win, any kind of a win, as his last personal win came back on June 26, 2008. Tonight, he held off a hard charging Mark Kraus to win the 8th Annual Elmer Musgrave Memorial 100 in front of a great crowd at Illiana Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track.
Carlson records second straight ASA Midwest Tour win(Burlington, WI) Steve Carlson looked at the last 50-laps of the Race for the Gold Bronze Race as a regular Saturday night shootout as he went on to win his second straight American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment race at Dells Raceway Park. His fifth overall win in front of an awesome crowd at the 1/3-mile facility.
Carlson flies ASA Midwest Region checkers at Elko(Elko, MN) West Salem, WI Steve Carlson held off a plethora of Minnesota drivers to win the Elko 125 in front of a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend crowd at Elko Speedway in Elko, MN. It was Carlson’s fourth overall win in the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment.
Wimmer emerges in ASA Midwest Tour race at Iowa Speedway(Newton, IA) Chris Wimmer finally breaks into victory lane as he went from third to the lead with three laps to go and captures the Pride of Iowa 100 at Iowa Speedway in Newton, IA. His first victory in the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment in front of 22,095 fans.
