Adams County opener delayed fifth weekCorning, IA - May 10, 2008 By: ACS The start of the 2008 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at the Adams County Speedway will have to wait one more week. Mother Nature celebrated Mother’s Day weekend by taking her fifth straight triumph at the speedway. This is a personal record for Mother Nature, as she had never before taken more than three straight wins, but at the start of the 1999 season, she did claim five of the first six events. Fans, drivers and officials have become extremely frustrated over this domination and would like to get their own cars to the track for their own shot at victories. So join us on May 17th for Subway night and let’s pray for good weather.
Grandstand admission will be $10 for adults, $5 for students, and 12 and under free. The grandstand will open at 5:00 with hot laps at 6:30 and the first race of 2008 taking the track at 7:00. Opening night pit gate will open at 4:00. Further information can be found at www.acspeedway.com or by calling 712-785-3271.
