Trauernicht scores at Beatrice Speedway

What an opening night after 3 rainouts in a row, Beatrice Speedway got night #1 of the 2008 Regular race in the books and what an exciting night. With over 100 cars in the pits. The crew and the racers ran off a very entertaining and timely show completing hte show in 3 hrs from the drop of the green flag in the first heat race. The 2008 race season looks to be an excitement filled show each and every week.

Dave Trauernicht took home the win in his BMS Mods, Seneca Sanitation, Friend Freightways, Holtmeier Farms, Body-n-Balance Massage, Reedy Machine and Fab, K & B Tobacco and Brown's Shoe Fit sponsored IMCA Modified. He took the lead about 3/4 of the way into the feature after chasing down Lance Borgman and Jordy Nelson from the 12th starting postion. Borgman and Nelson were waging quite the battle and then it became a 3 car battle with Trauernicht getting the lead and eventually holding of Borgman too take home the win. Borgman, Jordan Grabouski, Jordy Nelson and Dan Nelson followed him across the line.

Adam Armstrong dominitated the Factory Stock A Feature too take home the win in his Denny's Hot Rod Repair and Neapco sponsored Armstrong Chassis. Neal Mittan, Gary Laflin, Jeff Shew and Dustin Schmidt rounded out the front 5.

Benji Legg of Beatrice Took the top honors in the IMCA Sport Mod A Feature in his Spady-Runcie, Extreme Race Signs, The Buss Stop, Jet Racing and The Rail sponsored IMCA Sport Mod. He took the lead from his cousin Craig Evers and then they waged a "family fued" till the end with Legg taking the win and Evers finishing in the Bridesmaid position. Evers, Mark Saathoff, Max Harder and Ricky Rohr completed the top 5.

Chad Borgman of Beatrice took home the win in the IMCA Hobby Stocks in his Griffith Tranmission and Joel "The Beer Guy" sponsored Intimidator Chassis. Borgman held off a challenging Robby Marsh, Murray, Haugen, Matt Fralin and RJ Macku.

Dan Rhiley of Bennington in his 2 Men in Shop sponsored IMCA Sport Compact. Rhiley held off Amanda Rhiley, Ron Frank, Monte Fralin and Scott Parde.
