Billings wins at Thunderhill

Mayetta, KS - May 21, 2006
By: Joey Henry
Thunderhill Speedway

Danny Billings dominated all 20 laps of the Thundersprint main event on Saturday at Thunderhill Speedway in Mayetta, KS to take his first win of the season. Billings started on the outside of the front row and jumped into an early lead that he would never relinquish.

Although he was trailed for most of the race by point leader and winner of two of three previous races, Chad Meinholdt, he worked his way in and out of lapped traffic while never letting anyone come any closer than a couple of car lengths from taking the top spot. Billings gained a solid grip on the second position in the standings, with point leader Meinholdt finishing in second. Jack Potter finished third after starting 10th, and also holds the third spot in the point standings.
