(Warrensburg, Missouri) The first of the big-three summer holiday two-night special events takes place this Saturday and Sunday at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) over the Memorial Day weekend. All classes will compete under the POWRi sanctioning body in preliminary heat races, b-mains as needed, and main events.

Action begins Saturday with $1,000-to-win main events for B-Mods and Super Stocks. Pure Stocks, Midwest Mods, and Lightning Sprints will also take part in the night’s action. Then, on Sunday, the weekend concludes with a $2,000-to-win B-Mod special event, plus $1,000-to-win Super Stocks. Pure Stocks and Lightning Sprints will return for action. Midwest Mods will not compete on Sunday.

There are no “track registration” fees other than drivers paying their pit pass, which is $40. The only event entry fee for the weekend is for B-Mods for the Sunday event. The $75 fee covers the B-Mod driver’s pit pass and entry fee for the $2,000-to-win race.

There are no reserved pit stalls at CMS, pre-marking is permitted; however, no “hording” of pit stalls will be permitted. Lightning Sprint cars and haulers will park on the North and East facing sides of the pits only. Only race haulers are allowed in the pits, no exceptions.

Primitive camping is permitted. Drivers and teams and anyone staying on the premises overnight are responsible for all waste and debris and must pack out what they pack in. Concessions are available on both sides of the speedway. Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the grandstands so please plan accordingly! CMS is a cash-only operation throughout the premises, this includes all concessions and ticket windows, so please plan accordingly. There are ATMs located on both the front and back sides of the speedway. Pub 13 accepts credit cards.

The timeline for both Saturday and Sunday are as follows: The Pit Gate opens at 4:30, Admission Gates at 5. The cutoff for drivers to check-in for racing is 6:15 (late check-ins will not earn passing points). The pit meeting takes place at 6:30, followed by practice “hot” laps at 7, with racing to follow at approximately 7:30. Admissions information for both days is as follows: Adult General Admission $20, Active-Duty Military and Senior Citizens ages 65 to 74 $15. Kids ages 6 to 12 years $6, Children ages 5 and under and Senior Citizens aged 75 years and older are free in the grandstands. Those permanently confined to a wheelchair are free in the grandstands. ALL pit passes regardless of age or status are $40.

ALL drivers must be POWRi member drivers. The form may be completed online at www.myracepass.com/sanctions/1011/registrations/6909.

All drivers, especially new drivers to CMS, are strongly encouraged to visit the CMS website prior to racing for the first time this year at www.centralmissourispeedway.net/ClientFiles/images/files/2023GeneralRules.pdf and familiarizing themselves with how CMS operates.
